Miguel is Skift Meetings' Editor-in-Chief and likes to describe himself as a, "curious creator and caring curator of computerized content and a conscious connector of charismatic characters". He lives and breathes the event tech sector and is deeply engaged in the global online community of event professionals. Miguel is a Portuguese soul who built a career in the UK and is now raising a young family in southern Denmark.

Executive Editor
Andrea has been covering meetings, events, and trade shows for more than three decades. She is the proud recipient of many journalism awards, the most recent of which was a story featuring Ron Walden, Reed Exhibitions USA’s first Global Executive Sponsor for Race. She received a B.A. from New York University, majoring in English and journalism. She kicks off every summer by participating in the Spring Lake Five Mile run and spends many weekends “down the shore” enjoying Asbury Park’s dynamic music scene.

Barbara Scofidio, Editor at Skift Meetings, is an industry-leading editor with over 30 years of experience in travel, meetings, and incentives. A founding member of SITE’s Women IN Leadership committee, she has spearheaded numerous face-to-face events and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Barbara is passionate about advancing green meetings, CSR, and raising awareness of human trafficking within the meetings and travel industry. She serves on the Advisory Board of The Above and Beyond Foundation, which awards life-changing grants to front-line hotel employees.
